On Monday, 1stJuly, the Year 6 class will be participating in a spiritual retreat at the North Perth Redemptorist Monastery in preparation for their Confirmation. The main aim of the retreat is to allow students to experience and discuss the many concepts that they have learned about the Holy Spirit and about Confirmation in a sacred place.
Mr Bolding and I will be accompanying the students on this day, while Mrs Martin remains at school with the Year 5 students. We will be running concurrent sessions on a particular aspect of Confirmation to help the students enhance their understanding of the Sacrament. Please keep us in your prayers on this day, as it is such a spiritually uplifting day for both the students and the teachers.
Please fill out the permission slip that is sent home with your child tomorrow. A digital copy can also be dowloaded and printed via the link below. This year, as we have small numbers to transport to the venue, we have organised a ‘Maxi Taxi’ to take myself and the students to and from the monastery. We will be leaving school at 8.50am sharp and will return by 2.30pm. Please make sure that students are at school in plenty of time to board the taxi. Students who arrive later than this time will need to be taken to the venue by their parent.
The students will be provided with lunch at the venue; however, they are required to bring their own recess, drink, hat and pencil case in a small carry bag. The students may wear free dress.
