Next Wednesday, 8th November, our Year 5 students will be taking part in a motivational leadership day at Loreto Primary School, Nedlands. Students from Loreto Primary School, Iona Presentation College and Our Lady of Good Counsel School, will also be involved in the day.
The day entitled ‘Climb Your Own Mountain Leadership Day’, will be facilitated by Lorin Nicholson, a renowned motivational speaker. You can learn more about Lorin here on his website.
As a highly accomplished blind person, Lorin shares with students his clear method for success, through practical demonstrations, audience interaction and powerful life experiences, interlaced with segments of his spellbinding acoustic guitar playing.
The class will depart from St Dominic’s at 8:45am and return back to school at approximately 2:40pm. Travel will be by bus to and from Loreto Primary School.
Special clothing or other requirements include:
- Student are required to wear their formal school uniform on the day.
- Students will be required to bring with them in their school bag, their morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.
If, for whatever reason, you need to contact your child during the excursion, please call the school office who will then contact one of the supervising staff members.
