On Monday, students in Year 3 top 6 were visited by Harley Johnston from the Water Corporation. Harley taught our year 3 to 6 students about the strong connection Aboriginal people have to land, water, language and spirituality. The workshop also delved deeper into why the connection between Aboriginal people and water in particular was so strong. The 60,000 year old water management and conservation practices taught by Harley captivated our students to learn about the difference they can make to our water future.
The workshop is a precursor to our Yirra Yaakin performance in Week 8, which will further explore Aboriginal people and their connection to water in greater detail.
Please find attached a folder with photos and a video.
