With the 2021 Faction Swimming Carnival upon us, I thought I would send out a few last minute reminders prior to tomorrow considering the weather.
Firstly, in regards to the program, any changes that parents requested over the weekend in regards to the their child’s races will be made on the day. I will make available some copies of the program on the day with approximate times, as well as lanes at the carnival. I am still waiting for Timing Solutions to send this through to me as they are currently very busy.
In regards to the weather, at this stage, the carnival will go ahead. If there are lightning storms in the morning, Leon and myself may have to make the decision to cancel the swimming carnival and re-schedule as soon as possible. We will let you know if we do decide to cancel as soon as we know. If there is persistent rain on the day, the carnival will go ahead and we will look to get through the events as quickly as possible. This would mean no parents/ teachers/ students race at the end of the day, as well as the under/ over relay.
In regards to the rain, please pack a jumper and some dry clothes for your child to get changed into once they have finished their races.
I will look to begin the swimming carnival at 10:00am as planned. In the event of persistent rain, the carnival will conclude earlier than the scheduled 2:00pm time previously advertised.
Please remember that if you are planning to take your child home from the carnival, that you must e-mail your child’s teacher prior to the carnival.
