On Friday, 21stof June, the Year Three students will be visiting Servite College for an exciting STEM event. Inspired by the 50thanniversary for the 1969 Apollo lunar landing, students will launch a mission to develop creative solutions for a sustainable future. Working across Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, students will complete hands-on challenges, investigations and group work. In doing so, they will develop skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, imagination, communication and collaboration. They will also get to experience contemporary learning technology from virtual reality to 3D printing and robotics.
Students will travel by bus, which will depart school at 10:15am and arrive back at approximately 2:20pm. They need to bring their recess and lunch in a small backpack and are required to wear their sports uniform with their grey and white polo top.
I will require a small number of parent helpers to assist with the supervision of students on the bus and at the venue. Please let me know via the link below if you are able to help.
A paper permission slip will come home with your child today in their school bag. Please return the form no later than Wednesday the 19thof June. A digital copy can also be downloaded and printed via the link below.
