On Friday, 26th July, students from Year 2 to Year 6 will be participating in an Art Incursion with Melbourne artist Kenny Chan. Through there session, students will be exploring the Japanese style of comic drawing known as manga. Manga is an art style that was developed in the late 19th century, with the term manga used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Kenny Chan has worked as a freelance artist and animator in comics, animation, video games and movies. Students will learn tricks to adding personality and humour to their drawings and along the way discover some interesting cultural nuances and observational skills.
