We are pleased to provide you with the following details regarding the rescheduled Year 1, 2 and 6 excursion to Perth Zoo on Monday, 17th October. This excursion has been planned to supplement the following work being completed in your child’s classroom:
- Year 6 – Study of Asian geography and recount writing
- Year 2 – Information report writing and Noongar seasons
- Year 1 – Book-creating and recount writing
The class will depart from St Dominic’s at 9:00am and return to St Dominic’s by 2:40pm.
Travel will be by bus.
Activities to be undertaken include:
- Free exploration of the zoo
- Guided Education Experiences
Special clothing or other requirements include:
- School sports uniform (grey polo top)
- Hat
- School bag or school excursion bag with recess and lunch inside
- 1 Pencil
Parent Help
- The Year 6 class would like 4 parent helpers to assist
- Year 2 and Year 1 would like 3 parent helpers each.

Unfortunately, parents will need to meet us at the zoo and cannot travel on the bus.
If, for whatever reason, you need to contact your child during the excursion, please call the school office who will then contact one of the supervising staff members.
