I am pleased to provide you with the following details regarding our excursion to The Art Gallery of Western Australia on Thursday, 1st December. This excursion has been planned to supplement the work being completed in your child’s classroom during Visual Art. The excursion will allow the children to respond to different artwork and engage in a creating workshop.
The class will depart from school at 9:30am and return to school at 2:30pm
Travel will be by bus to and from the excursion. During the excursion we will be taking a 6-minute CAT bus to Wellington Square (Moort-ak Waadiny) for lunch.
Activities to be undertaken include:
- A tour around The Art Gallery of Western Australia: Looking and Thinking
- A making and creating art workshop: Boorongur Workshop
Special clothing or other requirements include:
- School Sports Uniform – White and Grey polo top
- School Hat
- Water bottle
- Small Bag/ Backpack with morning tea and lunch packed inside.
Three to four parent helpers are required to assist on the day from each class. If you are available and would like to help, please complete the Microsoft Form linked below.
If, for whatever reason, you need to contact your child during the excursion, please call the school office who will then contact one of the supervising staff members.
