St Dom’s Dragons Netball Club – The end of an amazing journey

After 9 years, the St Dom’s Dragons Netball club is coming to a close. Helen Riolo, super coach of many high level teams and an ex state player herself has generously volunteered her time to coach a huge number of St Dominic’s students over the 9 years, in both the ‘net set go’ skills sessions at the school, and competition teams at Matthews netball centre. The original Dragons are all now in Year 8 & 9, and the current team are Year 5 & 6s. The mixed year teams have fostered such lovely relationships between year levels both for the students and parent groups!

Last Saturday marked the very last game of the Dragons. This Year’s 5/6 team have been playing in the division 1 league and have shown such grit, determination, passion and teamwork as they improved each and every week!

A huge thank you to coach Helen Riolo for your massive contribution to the St Dom’s community, volunteering so much of your time to offer such a valued community sport experience. Many close friendships have been forged and we are all very grateful!

Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon!! Thanks Helen!
