As we are now in the full swing of Winter, there are many in our society who face the struggle of not being able to keep their families safe and warm.
Over the next few weeks, St Dominic’s School will be conducting a blanket drive and collecting blankets that are in good condition. These can be sent to the front office where they will be placed in a large box. In Week 2 of Term 3, we will organise for St Vincent De Paul to come and pick up the blankets and to speak to our students about the Winter Appeal.
When donating a blanket to the Winter Appeal, ask yourself “Would I give this blanket to a friend?”. Ensuring the blankets are in a good condition upholds the dignity of those who are receiving the goods.
Your kind donation of blankets will keep families safe and warm this Winter season.
