Next term, along with other members of Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA), our very luck Pre-Primary teacher Rochelle Brush, will be away for just over two weeks for the World Youth Day Trip and Pilgrimage in Lisbon. Sandra Gioffre, a regular relief and short term staff member at St Dominic’s, will be teaching the Pre-Primary class from Thursday, 20th July through until Tuesday, 8th August.
The World Youth Day Trip and Pilgrimage was advertised for those with a strong sense of purpose and grasp of the mission and vision of Catholic Education, those who are exemplary educators and those who have a proven participation in the religious life of their school and parish. After application and being successful Rochelle will be partaking in this event next term.
The World Youth Day Pilgrimage program is for committed Catholic school educators between the ages of 25 and 30. The mission of World Youth Day is to facilitate a safe and supported experience, which will enable young educators from Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) to deepen their personal faith, broaden their understanding of the Catholic Church, form enriching relationships with other young Catholics, and respond to God in their life.
We wish Rochelle all the best for the trip and look forward to her sharing the journey with us all upon her return.
