Last Tuesday, students from our Spiritual Ministry attended the online launch of Project Compassion. The Project Compassion launch is a chance for many schools to come together to learn about the projects that Caritas supports around the world.
The theme for Project Compassion 2022 is: For All Future Generations. We are reminded that the good we do today impacts the lives of future generations.
The day started with a Liturgy which was live streamed from Trinity College, followed by all participants enjoying a morning tea of pancakes. In the sessions throughout the morning, the students were connected to other schools via Teams ‘breakout rooms’ to talk about how each school can support Project Compassion. They viewed stories of people who have been helped by Caritas around the world and worked together to plan ways they can raise awareness and fundraise for Caritas in our community. Over the coming weeks there will be a weekly newsletter item sharing some of these stories, including a video link which you may like to view to see how your generosity can make a difference to the lives of people around the world.
