Last term, with your help and feedback, we continued to explore the possibility of commencing an onsite before and after school care program at St Dominic’s School. You may recall a second survey was sent out last term requesting further information and seeking the communities interest in a Term 3 start.
At the school boards second meeting this year, we were presented with the data received from the second survey. Unfortunately, the interest received from the community for a Term 3 start was less than that expressed via the initial survey sent home at the end of 2018. Due to the reduced interested, Extend (the company we were looking to partner with), are not in a position to provide our school with a program commencing in Term 3 that is financially viable for their company.
Although this is a setback, we will continue to look at viable options that may enable us to offer this service to our school community in 2020. Further details regarding possible options for 2020 will be shared with the community early in Term 4.
