Today we opened the new senior nature play space for the children to begin enjoying. The kids have loved the new challenges and imaginative opportunities the space provides.
We have unfortunately not been able to open the raised platform at this stage as we are still awaiting the installation of new safety fencing along the limestone walls on either side of our front gate. Although being promised that this would be completed last week by a seperate company, we have now had confirmation that this will be installed on Monday. As soon as this is in place the children will be able to commence play in this area.
We love fostering a great sense of community by allowing our families to use the school grounds to play in after school. The new nature playground, just like many others, can pose many risks if children do not adhere to rules and are not supervised properly. We strongly advise that you ensure your children are adhering to the following points to ensure that they are safe and that the new playground is preserved, which has been purchased with funds generously donated by our families through the P&F.
- No running or chasing in the playground at any time.
- No rocks are to be removed from the creek bed. These can only be played with in this area.
- Be careful not to stand on the new plants in the creek bed.
- The crushed limestone around the creek bed is not to be used for digging etc and should not be moved.
- Children are not to play on the playground unless a teacher or parent is on the grassed area with them.
As a reminder, below are also the guidelines we have in place for our junior nature play space.

Children are also to be reminded that unless a parent has collected them from the classroom or from Kiss and Ride, that they are NOT to go to the playgrounds or oval without their parent/ guardian there with them.
We seek your ongoing support through proper supervision, to ensure we can continue to allow our school grounds to be used after school.
