Loose Parts Incursion – Pause rewind play
The Kindy students will be engaging in a fun incursion on Thursday, 17th November, called Loose Parts – Pause rewind, play by Jonathon Neen.
The incursion provides adaptable resources where the possibilities are endless. It is a child directed, hands on, engaging morning where the children have fun using their imagination and creativity with loose parts.
We are looking forward to an exciting morning of building and creating!
Educated by Nature – Imagination Village
The Kindy students will also be participating in another incursion on Monday, 21st November at St Dominic’s.
The incursion will be run by Educated by Nature. Educated by Nature incursions are designed to connect students and educators with the natural world through play.
The incursions are designed to empower students through the opportunity to work on skills and find individual and collaborative success in the transformation of natural objects.
The Kindy students will be involved in the incursion called ‘Imagination Village’. Imaginative play is crucial to early social, cognitive and emotional development. A chance to interact with others, understand roles, develop empathy and test out theories. Students will have an opportunity to connect with their imagination to create cubby villages and small worlds, dress up and create a tea-party with natural materials, and explore old fashioned grinders to grind up herbs and flowers to make potions.
