Harmony Week is celebrated from 15th – 21st of March every year and celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Year Three will be organising a Harmony Day Liturgy for students and staff on Friday, 19th March. On this day, students are invited to come to school dressed in traditional cultural dress. Children who do not have a cultural dress are encouraged to wear orange; the official colour of Harmony Week. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
