Last weekend, Ella, one of our extraordinary Year 1 students, decided that she would like to raise some additional funds for Project Compassion by making and selling sweets, cakes and bubbles from a stall set up on her driveway. Friends, family and neighbours all dropped by to purchase an item from the stall. With their help Ella raised an amazing $215.45! After studying the Project Compassion poster, she hopes that the money will go towards:
- A weeks supply of food ($50)
- 10 notebooks ($1 each)
- A uniform so a child can attend school ($85)
- 50 chicks for a farming family ($50) and
- 10 packets of vegetable seeds ($5 each)
We are so proud of the way in which she has modelled Christ’s message through her actions. Great job, Ella!
