Term 4 was a busy time for the Craft Club! The children made some beautiful Christmas cards, which were given to the men and women who live at Birralee and Bethanie. The residents were ‘over the moon’ to be the recipients of these special cards. Then we moved on to planning and creating the set design for the annual school Nativity play. For a few weeks we surrounded ourselves with coloured card, cellophane, sequin stars, baubles, garlands and of course a considerable amount of glitter! The children did a fantastic job with all the projects and the hall was certainly full of the Christmas Spirit at the Nativity, thanks to the efforts and creativity of the students. We are so grateful for Mrs Peta Kelly, who donated her time and talents each week. Many new skills were developed, and it was wonderful to see the children engaged and having fun together! Thank you to the parents who also helped each week, it couldn’t run without your assistance. We also welcomed Mary, from the parish, to help the children with their craft and she is looking forward to coming back in 2020. Well done everybody! Craft Club will reconvene next year, commencement date to follow.
