As you are probably aware, at 2:00pm today, the Premier announced the end of the current lockdown in the Perth and Peel regions. There will be a staged return to COVID normal for these regions during the school holidays.
It is hoped that by the time school recommences in Term 3, protocols will once again be at Stage 5 throughout the State.
The following are the major points from the Premier’s announcement:
- There will be a staged process for the next nine days to return the Perth and Peel regions to pre-lockdown life.
- There will be three days of interim restrictions commencing on Saturday, 3rd July including:
- People in the Perth and Peel regions will be free to leave their homes.
- Masks will remain mandatory, both indoors and outdoors, and on public transport.
- People are required to continue to work from home, where possible.
- Private gatherings of up to ten visitors indoors and 20 visitors outdoors are permitted.
- All public venues, including places of worship, hospitality, entertainment and retail outlets can reopen to a maximum of 20 people and in line with the 4 square metre rule.
- People from the Perth and Peel regions can travel to other parts of WA, but must follow these restrictions, including the wearing of masks.
Stay safe everyone and fingers crossed we can return to school back at Stage 5 restrictions.
