Just like that, we welcome the next Noongar season, Kambarang.
Kambarang, known traditionally as the season of birth, is a time when the land comes alive with vibrant wildflowers and striking plants, painting our surroundings with an explosion of colours.
In October, reptiles are most likely to emerge from their Winter hibernation, taking advantage of the warming weather to gather the energy they need for hunting and survival.
Towards the end of the season, we will receive a signal that heat is on the way from our iconic Australian Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda) which blooms into bright orange and yellow flowers.
Look out for lots of little changes and signs happening around us throughout this next season as we start to welcome the WA heat.
