Just a reminder to parents and students that Tuesday, 26th October, is the first day of camp! The bus will be departing from the front of the school at 8.30am sharp. Please ensure you are at school by 8:00am so that we can depart on time and the day will therefore run as planned. The children’s luggage will need to be clearly labelled and sleeping bags will need to be tied to their bag. Children may take their pillows on the bus with them.
Staff attending camp this year are Stirling, Alicia, Mags and Leon. We are all looking forward to sharing in this wonderful experience with the students, an experience that will hopefully be a highlight of their final weeks with us here at St Dominic’s.
A reminder also that if you listed your child as needing a particular medication/s, please give them these to Stirling in a clearly labelled bag/ box as soon as you arrive on Tuesday. This includes any allergy or pain medication in a clearly labelled bag/ box to be given to us on Tuesday morning. However, this does not include asthma inhalers, which students can keep on themselves and in their personal bags.
Children will also need to bring their own morning tea, drink bottle, towel, bathers, rash vest, sun cream and change of clothes on Tuesday (departure day) in a small backpack. The backpack is also necessary, as the students will take it with them on every planned activity.
Lastly, we have asked the children to bring in roll-on deodorant. No spray deodorant please, as often it is over-used in the confined dormitory environment.
Thank you for all your support in the preparation. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Stirling or one of the other team members.
See you all Tuesday morning!
