Commencing on Thursday, 28th February, St Dominic’s School will be offering a new extra curricular Craft Club for students and family members here at St Dominic’s.
The Craft Club will take place once a week during term time and will run for one hour. Mrs Peta Kelly, Mrs Sue Capriotti and Mrs Mags James are kindly offering up their time each week to facilitate the sessions in the School Hall. Participants will have an opportunity to explore and learn through a variety of craft activities, such as, crocheting, knitting, making pompoms, French knitting and weaving.
When: Every Thursday during term time
Time: 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Where: School Hall
What to bring: An optional afternoon snack
Who: Students and family members from all year levels – Everyone is welcome!
To assist with supervision and to ensure students get the most from the experiences offered, children in Kindy, Pre Primary, Year 1 and Year 2, will be required to to have an adult with them throughout each session.
To help get things started, staff are seeking donations of 8 ply wool, crochet hooks (size 4 –6), knitting needles and any flat buttons you may have lying around the house. All donations can be dropped off at the front office, or brought along to any Craft Club session.
