We are once again exploring the communities interest in the possibility of having an onsite before and after school care service here at St Dominic’s School. As communicated earlier this year, previous data received unfortunately did not show enough interest from the community to enable companies to commence a financially viable onsite program. Below are the details of the potential service to be offered onsite in 2020 here at St Dominic’s.
This time around, we are looking to partner up with a Catholic out of school hours care service called ‘Discovery Kids’. You can read more about the company here on their website – https://www.discoverykidsoshc.com. The company currently runs very successful programs out of Our Lady of Grace, North Beach, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Karrinyup and Holy Rosary, Doubleview. Below are the session times and costs offered by Discovery Kids.
Before School Child Care: 7.00am-9.00am $25.00 (breakfast provided) Monday to Friday
After School Child Care: 2.45pm-6.00pm $35.00 (afternoon tea provided) Monday to Friday
Vacation Care (at another school venue in our area): 7.00am – 6.00pm $80 per day (additional charge of $5 -$10 for organised incursions/excursions, morning tea and afternoon tea provided)
There is a $2 charge per casual booking which is also eligible for the CCS.
As Discovery Kids is a fully licensed out of school hours care service, parents are entitled to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) from CentreLink.

A paper copy of the form will also be coming home with your child and members of staff will be on hand with an iPad before and after school over the coming week if you wish to complete the form together.
