As you would be aware, tomorrow night is our annual Nativity Play. This year, due to COVID restrictions, the event will be taking place on the school oval, with the stage set up in front of the hall. Please bring along a blanket or low chair to sit on and enjoy the performance. Anyone with larger chairs should situate themselves to the back of the audience area to ensure everyone has a clear view of the stage. You may also like to bring along a picnic to share as a family during and after the performance.
Upon arrival at school, all students have been asked to head straight to their classroom teacher, who will be located in the stage area. Staff will supervise and direct students during this time. Students are not to be playing on the oval or the playground equipment prior to the show. After the show children will be able to play on the oval and in the playground area, however, as staff will not be on duty at this time, the sole responsibility for their activities and behaviour will be the responsibility of each child’s parents/ caregivers. Therefore, if you choose to allow your child to play in these areas, you understand and accept sole responsibility for supervising them. ‘Supervision’ is keeping a direct line of sight to your child and means ensuring they behave according to our Code of Conduct and other rules in their play and interactions with other students and parents. Students know the rules they follow during school hours and I ask you to enforce consistency while you supervise them during this time.
After the show, for those who have ordered pizza, the P&F will be distributing this from one central location.
We look forward to seeing our community come together for this very special event tomorrow night and we hope you enjoy the show and community atmosphere of the evening.
